What to Expect at Hope United Presbyterian Church
Deciding on a church family can be a very challenging thing especially if you don’t know what to expect
when you walk through the doors. Here’s what you will find at Hope.
Parking
As far as parking goes, you can park in the lot at the front of the church. The front door is wheelchair
accessible as are the bathrooms. If it is raining, we have doors on the west side with an overhang that will
keep you dry and allow you to enter the church.
Children
God’s children of all ages are very welcome here at Hope. We strive to include children in all aspects of
our church worship and mission. A children’s sermon and Sunday School is provided during worship.
Entering the Church
As you walk through the front door of Hope, you will be welcomed by our greeters. They will direct you
into the sanctuary. These are members of our church and will answer any questions that you might have
about the church or the service.
Worship Service
Our worship service begins at 10:30. This is an opportunity to praise God through song, spoken work,
motion, drama and sermon. Through worship, we endeavor to engage your sense of God’s presence in your
life and uplift your heart to serve the mission of Jesus Christ.
Opportunities to Serve
There are many ways you can answer God’s call on your life here at Hope. Hope is constantly engaged in
local mission (Hope Hygiene Products Pantry, Sheltering Wings, Habitat for Humanity) and would love to
have you help us serve Christ in these missions. If you are gifted in music or worship leadership, you
would be welcomed to share your gifts during worship with this congregation. Any God-given gift you can
give to Hope will continue to strengthen and bless the work we are doing here.
